Import sequence doesn't work.

I am trying to figure out why the "Import Image Sequence" box is greyed out and cannot be ticket. I'm going to get all the basic stuff out of the way. Not trying to be rude, but I've been scrolling through endlessly useless posts that all regurgitate the same basic trouble shooting issues. So here's my situation, if anything you're going to suggest is on this list, you're not going to helpful so please don't rehash stuff I've already read on other threads. Trust me, I have tried, and they have not work:

- The file format I am using is in DPX

- The file names are all numeric and sequential. There are no special characters used in the file name. Just numbers. They all adhere to a four character file name structure.

- I have uninstalled and reinstalled the current version of Adobe Premiere via the Creative Cloud app.

- When I uninstalled the program I also used Bulk Uninstaller to remove all traces of Premiere from my system. This includeded all registry entries, config files, everything.

- Rebooted my machine after uninstalling and again after my reinstall.

So if you have any outside of these trouble shooting issues would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @Nicholas30976630cfqr,

Thanks for writing in. Other than these troubleshooting steps, I'm not sure what else to suggest other than providing a folder with sample files included. Can you upload a short sample image sequence? I hope we can help you.

Thanks,
Kevin

Well Kevin, go back and re-read my post about the file naming. That is not the problem. It has never given me a problem before today. Ever. It's not a file naming problem. How I have created the DPX files is not any different from the thousands of times I've done it previously.Look, I get you're trying to be helpful, but come on man. I have used this function without fail for the 20 years I've been using Premiere, give me at least a shred of credit that I know what I'm talking about.ThanksSent from my Galaxy

Ah OK, I wanted to get the files to attach to a bug report. I was able to reproduce your experience. However, I found out that if you import the first image in the image sequence, it will import the image sequence as a clip. You do not need to interact with the disabled checkbox at all. It worked for me. Please try it and report back. Sorry for the frustration on this issue and for my lack of care in handling this case. Please take care!

Thanks,

Kevin
