Importing After Effects project gets the software stuck / crash

Hello,

After Effects and Premiere Pro 2022 versions. Windows 10 Pro

Using Team's profile in the CC app.

A new Premiere Pro project, can't import After Effects project. Not using libraries or templates.

After several crashes, I noticed the After Effects showed a "*" in the name, so I tried to save it and got an error that it couldn't save the file with the same filename + numbers like a temporal file.

Then when testing, tried importing a Motion Graphics template and it gets stuck at 15%. Tested with two different computers, and I get the same behavior.

Deleted the cache, Profile folder under AppData for both Premiere and After Effects.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Hi Berticus,

Sorry for this. Besides the naming issue, I wonder if any of the AE comps have the C4D renderer enabled? That is a bug with the current version. Changing the renderer to Classic 3D may help.

Thanks,
Kevin

Updating this: Tested the same process with 2021 versions and all is good.

2022 versions, hanging apps every time I bring AFX into premiere.  Followed the steps from:
https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro-discussions/premiere-pro-crashes-when-importing-after-ef...

No luck.

When importing a MGT into Premiere, it gets stuck at 15% in both computers.

Thanks!

And like magic that worked! At least with the test project.

Thanks so much Kevin!
