Importing files to PP

Hi, I have had this problem for many versions of PP and it appears sometimes when I drag and drop a separate soundtrack first (which works fine) and then try to drag and drop a video with a soundtrack then only the soundtrack not the video shows from that file and I have to wait then import again and sometimes it works.

It also happens the other way around e.g. if I drag and drop a picture to the timeline then the next videofile only shows the videotrack not the audio even though it got sound. Makes sense? It´s the whole world but it is time consuming and a bit irritating.

Anyone else have this issue or am I alone in space?

Can you post a screen shot of your timeline panel? I don't want to assume but it sounds like imporper source patching.

Please make sure that the at least one of the left V channels or A channels are selected or blue.

Examples, V1, A1 etc.

Are you importing or draging to the timeline?

If importing, try using the Media Browser instead of drag and drop.

If dragging to the timeline, see here as gerikp suggested:
