Hi.
I have a question.
I´m trying to import an SRT file into Premiere, that was made by another person on another software.
When importing the SRT file Premiere changes the font from Arial to Helvetica. And it won´t respect the italics.
Is there a way around this in order to import correctly the SRT file?
THANK YOU VERY MUCH !!!!
Gustavo.

Gustavo,
I don't have a problem importing italics from SRT.
Does the SRT specify the font? There are some styling that is not part of the basic SRT specifications, but there are extended specs that may be honored. I don't think PR will import a font family, but that is easy to change in the style.
Pasting a few lines of the srt file here, including the beginning, might help.

Hi Stan, thank you for your answer.
The SRT should be in Arial font.
However when importing and adding the SRT file to my timeline, PREMIERE reads it as if it was Helvetica font.
I manage to correct the subtitles manually -changing it to Arial font. When I do that italics are back.
But then, when I export the SRT file from PREMIERE the problem remains.
Here are some lines from the SRT file.
THANKS!
