In Premiere Pro, certain Hindi characters do not display correctly when I make a title.

Software:

I'm using Windows 11, and  Premiere Pro 2025

Problem:

In Premiere Pro, certain Hindi characters do not display correctly when I make a title.

Description:

I have a word document with some Hindi text.  If I copy and paste the text into a title in Premiere, it shows up with different Hindi letters.  I have tried several fonts (Devanagiri New, Sanskrit, Mangal) and it's the exact same problem every time.

Hi Rajive_Thannippara0492,

Sorry to hear about this. Could you please share the word with which you are experiencing this issue & a screenshot showing the difference in the characters that you are seeing at your end? Also, what happens when you type that word instead of copying & pasting in the text box?

Thanks,

Sumeet

@Rajive_Thannippara0492,

In addition to Sumeet's suggestions, copying from a Word document can produce problems. Paste first into Notepad. Do you get the correct characters there? Then copy that and paste into PR. I don't think this is the issue, but its a simple test.

Stan
