Inserting a still image of same size as the sequence leaves black edges

Pretty new to Premiere and video editing and this problem is making me mad.

I have exported still images from Photoshop in size 1920x1080 px with square pixel proportions. In my project, I have a sequence also in size 1920x1080 px and 1:1 pixel proportions.

When I insert the still image in the sequence, it is either cropped top and bottom or if I resize it, it shows black edges left and right. In the attached screenshot you see an example of the still scaled to 90 %. What am I missing here? Thanks!

Not sure what you are saying> is image (clouds) scaled to 90% manually? If so then yes you get black bars.

Post screenshot sequence settings, properties image.

Best is to study the program first before venturing on a real project.

Premiere has a high learning curve and editing can get very frustrating if not mastering the basics.

Thank you for your answer! Correct, and at 90 % it fits vertical. At 100 % it is cropped. Screen shots attached.

Haha, I feel so dumb. It was just my zoom cropping the sequence... Sorry for wasting your time!
