instagram iPhone HDR video not showing in HDR

Hi,

I have an iPhone 13 Pro And M2 Mac Book and I'm trying to upload HDR reels onto Instagram and after waiting and waiting day after day my reels will not show up in the HDR format. I have multiple Instagram accounts and the account that post the HDR reels on shows on my phone as HDR but when I switch over to my private account it is in SDR assuming that is what the public will see it in. I have used H.265 rec 2100HLG main 10 level 5.1 dynamic metadata and I've also tried using Apple pro res 4444XQ and still no luck.

please help.

Your sequences are in HLG color space, right?

And you are starting with export presets with HLG in the preset name, yes?

Have you checked the file metadata in MediaInfo? If not, download/install that free utility app. Drag/drop a file onto it's desktop icon. When it opens, go into the "Tree view" ... make a screengrab of the information, and drag/drop that onto your text reply box here.

Is that the media you're working with? As the pixel count ... what, 500 by something ... is really more a thumbnail than a video file!

Plus it's for instagram so it is short form video.

Why are you using 4444HQ? Do you have an alpha channel there? That's what that fourth channel is for.

No I'm not sure what the alpha channel even is but I was just using the one with the HLG sign on it.
