Dragging a video clip from Adobe Bridge into my timeline causes the entire interface of Premiere to blank (go dark.) The windows that don't go dark, will darken when moused over. (I've had this happen twice, the second time it happened sections of Chrome showed up as bright pink...) Relaunching both apps seems to have fixed the issue.
Using Premiere 25.1.0, Build 73.
Operating system is macOS Sonoma 14.2.1 on an M1 Max, Mac Studio.
(Editing off an external HDD Raid 0, connected over Thunderbolt.)
Video is an MP4 file.
FWIW, I am currently using Adobe Bridge 2024. (I have 2025 downloaded, it just isn't set to be the default at the moment.)
Steps to reproduce: ... sorry, I don't know what to tell you. I have a timeline that's 2370 x 2160, 29.97. The BROLL was 3840 x 2160, 23.976. H.264. I drag dozens of various video clips from Bridge to Premiere without incident, I assumed it was a one-off glitch, but it happened twice so I figured I should report it. If there's a log I should be looking for if it happens again I'd be happy to provide it.
I have a bunch of folders of BROLL on my machine, it's all various downloaded from different sources, some is self-shot. I find that it's easier to browse with Bridge, rather than the Finder, so I drag clips in from Bridge all the time. This issue has only happened twice, but only since starting to use Premiere 25. (Is there a way to downgrade projects and open them in Premiere 24?)
I dragged the file over to the timeline and the windows (tiles?) all went blank (black.) The ones that didn't right away did as soon as I moved my mouse over them. When I went to close the program the save dialog came up as a black window with a title bar. I'm including some screenshots.

I am not able to reproduce this with Adobe bridge 2025 and Premiere Pro 2025.
Does the screen still go black if you select your clips in Bridge and then navigate to the tools menu > Premiere Pro > Edit (Create a Sequence)?

You can have version 24 and version 25 installed on the same machine when you open a project in version 25 that was created in version 24 premiere will ask you to update the project and it will save it as a new file, usually with a _1 appended to it.
Sorry for the frustration.
