Is there a way to centre align text faster and easier?

I'm a video editor working on projects with so much text that all needs aligning. It gets really annoying to keep having to click the individual text, go to Essential Graphics, click the text inside the panel, and then centre it horizontally and vertically. I have to do this for every bit of text. I've created a keyboard shortcut for centre aligning text, it seems to do nothing at all. There must be a simpler way to do all of this?
