Is there a way to only apply text preset on part of a sentence?

When I choose part of a sentence in the text, and selete the "style" I saved, it turns the whole sentence into that style (attached: photo 1), rather than the part I selected. Is their any way to achieve something like in photo 1(attached) without going in the colour panel to every time? Thanks!

The best answer is "no." It is just very unsatisfying!

If you put more than one LAYER in a graphics item, you can apply different styles to each layer. But a style applies to all within each layer.
