Issue with trimming clips

Hi there!

I am trying to trim one of my clips on the timeline using Control and then moving the trim tool, however, it keeps showing up as a single, vertical red line with two sets of arrows coming out on either side. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Are you sure this isn't a Premiere Pro question and not InDesign? You need to post in the correct forum.

Don't hold Ctrl, just click on the edit point

See if this preference is checked. If so, you might want to uncheck it.
