Issues with alpha footage and Sonoma

I'm having issues with Alpha footage being placed onto a Premiere Pro timeline since installing Sonoma (latest public beta).

the audio will happily sit on the timeline, but whenever i go to insert or hover the video portion of the clip onto the timeline it gives me the no entry icon.

I did not have any issues we these same files (they're used in all of our projects) until installing Sonoma.  I even tried installing the latest beta of premiere pro but it repeats the same issue.

Is there a solution to this?

The most common user error is not source patching the track.
Solved by first opening clip in Source Monitor. Then drag/insert into timeline.

and probably not a good idea to install a beta version of the OS...   I'd suggest you revert to the previous OS..  And when you say alpha footage, do you mean a video file with an embedded alpha channel, or a video file that just has transparency info?    Might be useful if you told us the properties of the video file...
