People of the internet I need your help!
Work recently purchased me a brand new xps 15 ( i9-13900H, 32GB ram, 4070) the device on paper is a monster, yet this is probably the worse performance ive ever experienced in Premiere EVER.
Constantly crashing... 4 times today. Once I'm finally able to get into my projected sometimes when i go to hit space bar to play back, the audio gets robotically choppy and seems to be playing all videos back at double time (Both in the project window and in the source monitor). some times the screen will just be frozen 2-4 minutes at a time. Next to impossible to edit and changing playback quality doesnt matter.
I thought maybe this was because i was using a dock for multiple monitors, unplugging made no differnce. I thought maybe a driver issue, Windows + Nvidia + Premiere are up to date.
I'm coming from a 2018 Razer blade and although that machine was long in the tooth, it can somehow handle the project better than this current machine.
Timeline is 2 lines of Fx3 and FX30 10 bit Video files, with MINIMAL color grade + audio edits. Premiere is always kind of garbage i find on any laptop but i feel this should not be happening. The same thing doesn't happen on my similarly spec'd Desktop
Plz help.

Hi @Mat31684219jn9n,
I read your note. Thanks for the info. I hope you're doing well. Happy Friday!
Sorry, you have not gotten a response from the community yet. Have you solved the issue, or are you still having problems? Have you tried 23.6 yet? If not, try it and let us know if it works better.
One thing that can help is deleting the previous media cache. Press Shift at launch and delete the media cache from the Reset Options dialog box. That can really help issues like this!
I hope the community can assist you.
Thanks,
Kevin
