Hi everyone,
I’m using a Contour Multimedia Controller mapped to the Adobe Premiere Pro timeline, with a jog for scrubbing back and forth. The problem is that if I click on another panel (e.g., to edit a mask or adjust an effect), the jog stops working because Premiere loses focus on the timeline. To make it work again, I have to manually click back on the timeline, which disrupts my workflow.
Is there a way to keep the jog functional regardless of where I click inside Premiere? Maybe a setting in the controller software or a workaround using third-party tools?
Thanks in advance for any help! 😊
I use a 'Contour shuttle Express', and I don't need to have focus on the timeline panel. I'm using a custom mapping which is different to the default for PP and it always works to shuttle the timeline.

OK, I just tried the default settings and it works similarly, I don't need to have the timeline panel selected.

Ah, that does change things! 🙂
So, I indeed see the same behavior. I'm not sure if anything has changed.
Aside from the Shuttle, the left/right arrow keys also move the mask/selected node. So, this may be the way it is supposed to be.

unfortunately editing moving parts with precision having to click the mask then timeline, then the mask then again the timeline becomes hell.

The easy way I've found is to use K+L and/or K+J, it will scoot the timeline while you can mouse the mask, left/right also move the selected mask point.
