Hi,

I just downloaded and installed Premiere Pro on my Macbook, but it doesn't start up because of an 'directory access error'. How do I solve this? Thanks!

Hi Kulpreet, thanks for your advice so far!

I tried it in that root account, and that worked! But my own account is also the administrator account, that still doesn't work.

I don't have any other Adobe apps on this computer.

What can I do now to make it work in my own account?

I've tried the "OldAdobe Trick" premiere would create the new folder but then it would still come up with the Directory Access Error - any other soloutions? I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling and have even ran the adobe clean up app through and still no luck!

If you are on a work computer and your user account is managed by group policy, then disconnect from your VPN and try to launch. Unplug your network cable, turn off wifi, any/all of the above. and try to launch. works for me, still gives an error, but the software is usable and the error is different. The below error message actually lets me use Premiere.
