keyframing error

For example, ill be trying to add a glow or a shake on a certain video, I keyframe the glow where I want it to start but for some reason, wherever I keyframe the glow, it happens like 3-4 seconds apart from where I keyframed. Note: This happens atleast once everytime im editing and this error came along while I was half done with my project. On other clips before this one, everything was fine. Plz help

Are you speeding up/slowing down the clips you're keyframing?

the clip im editing does have some time remapping on it, but ive done the same thing with other clips in the project and havent seen this problem

Nest the clip and then apply effects to the nest in the main sequence.

I ended up exporting the time remapped clip first, then adding the effects and that work, thank you!

Is the keyframe happening during a transition?

it happens a while after a transition. I tried cutting the clip after the transition but that didnt change anything

Especially if you have time remapping involved, try nesting the clip before applying the glow.
