Hi,
i just bought a new MacBook Pro M1 Max with 32GB of RAM. I have now tried how it would perform with 4K Footage, that i captured with my Canon EOS R DSLM.
As soon as i add any of the more graphics related overlays from the essential graphics panel, it gets laggy and the progress bar tunrs red.
Its a brand new Computer with a very clean Adobe Premiere Installation. Changed nothing in settings. I create sequences simply by dragging and dropping the raw files of my camera into the timeline.
I am now very unsecure, if i have to invest even more money on a bigger machine (thought this is already very good), or if i do something wrong fundamentaly.
Thanks for your time helping me and answers.
Frank

Might want to consider using proxies for easy editing.

To be honest, I never figured out how that works. But will give it a try.
I just thought, with a machine like that, it wouldn´t be neccessary. The 4K Videos alone work perfectly fine, even with color grading and stuff. But titles and transitions don´t.
Cheers
