Legacy titles versus the new graphics titling

I am almost finished a 58 minute film, and have been working in Premiere v. 2022 on a MAC, using the old Legacy Titling, without problem. Each time I open the project, it asks me if I want to change from Legacy Titles to the new graphics system, I say no. Suddenly the other day, I started crashing, a million times. After 4 hours with tech support (not to mention my own time trying to trouble shoot),  and no gain... I tried opening the project (but saved as a new one), and said: Yes, to use the new graphics. It exported perfectly.

Why do they tell you that you can use the Legacy Titling, and then behind your back, it becomes impossible? This is so frustrating.

Sure, the new graphics way of making titles is great, but now I have to spend hours, re-jiggering all my lower thirds and crawls.

Anyone experienced this or have an answer?
