Linked Style text resetting, even though it says "None"

I've been using a linked style to all my text, and then I change the size depending on what I need for the clip. Occasionally, however, the text size will reset back to the linked style default. I've read that I need to go in and "un-link" my text so this won't happen. But when I go in to the settings, my text says "None" under "Linked style".  Any suggestions?

Some additional information would help. Always good to know the version of PR you are using and your OS.

Is this captions text (as in captions/subtitles on a caption track) or graphics text (entered with the Type tool)?

If graphics, are you using single or multiple text layers?

Are you selecting multiple instances and applying the style?
