The frustration I have with Adobe is beyond acceptable, but I'll attempt to tame my anger for this post.
Worked ALL DAY yesterday editing. Had some speed issues with exports last night -but didn't think much of it because well, Adobe rarely works as advertised.
Wake up today to get back to work. Open up Adobe PP. Get a message that says "Cannot open project"... blah blah blah, something about an outdated project file.
Close Adobe PP.
Re open.
Open the project file.
It opens without issue.
BUT.
ALL OF THE WORK DONE YESTERDAY IS GONE.
NOTHING WAS SAVED.
Can some please explain to me WHY I pay $34/ month for this??
Hi @Johnny29957850d8g6 - Can you let us know your system specs? It's possible that the project you were working in was an auto save project and not your main project. Have you checked the Adobe Premiere Pro Auto-Save folder?
You can find it in the documents folder Adobe > Premiere Pro > <version> > Adobe Premiere Pro Auto-Save
I'm sorry this has happened it sounds very frustrating to work all day and then to lose your work the next day.

I've been using computers for 30+ years now. Computers are brutal and harsh tools. Always have been.
It doesn't matter what software one is using, really. One typically learns to safeguard oneself, by instituting a usable save and save-as procedure on all work in all software that is crucial. As if you don't, you will get bitten bad at some point. Period end of story.
So what save/save-as/save-a-copy routine do you have? Or do you not do so?
I'm not being nasty, just realistic. I never, ever, trust the computer. I've been bitten hard enough over the years with every software app you can think of to forget that bit.

I know it's after the fact, but might want to read this:
FAQ: When to use "Save A Copy," or "Save As," and when to simply use "Save"
