Lost project

I have been working on a project for the past week or so and was 99% complete. I "save" and close project as normal. I go to re-open today and the project is not showing anywhere. It can not be found. It is also showing my most recent project as a week ago, which is a previously saved version of a project that I have already completed. Any help with getting my project back would be greatly appreciated.

Attach all external disks, if you have any, and do a search for *.prproj in any file browser. This will search for all Premiere Pro project files on your disks.

Thanks for the suggestion, but this did not pull up anything new for me. It seems to be completly gone with no trace of my project.

Where did you have it saved? IOW, do you know which specific drive and folder?

did you update premiere pro?

check if you have automatic updates enabled on creative cloud app and switch off.

try to downgrade to a previously working version of premiere pro
