I created a short project from a larger one. All the unused media reamains even after going to Edit>unused media. How do I get rid of it?
Yes, this is a limitation, remove unused clips doesn't remove empty folders. I beleive that we should have an option to remove those.

Your clips are used somewhere which prevents you from deleting them using that command. To know where a clip is used, either enable preview area in the project panel, or add video usage column to your project panel, you will see how many times and where your clip is used.

Also, in the icon view, you can click on the blue icons in the right bottom of a clip thumbnail to reveal in which sequences your clip is used:

Thank you. Overnight I figured it out. Here's another one though. I did manage to remove all the unused media in the remaining short project. However, in the original project there were several images from psd files where I imported all the layers separately. While the images are gone, the folders created on import are not. The folders are empty, but not gone. It's pretty easy to delete those.
