Masking issue in 24.2

Community Beginner ,
Feb 27, 2024 Feb 27, 2024

In Premiere 24.2.1, masking, whether in Opacity or Effects, no longer works properly.

Draw a rectangular mask in Opacity.  You can no longer use the selection tool to grab a couple of points at once.  In the Program Monitor window, I only get the crossbar mask point tool.

I can select one point, shift select another but it's not as clean as marquee grabbing the points, and holding the shift key to modify the mask.

I've tried this on several projects and get the same result.
