my masking not working and there no apply button so how do i aplly the masking 

 

should not have to look at 3 videos to find this out

Select a clip in your sequence.

Go to the 'Effects Controls' panel.

Under 'Opacity' you can choose a circular, rectangular or freeform mask using the pen tool.

Choosing one of the above will create a mask. In the case of the freeform mask you'll need to click on the image in your 'Program' window to place the first mask point  - then place others to complete the mask.
