I'm wondering if there's a way to mark or highlight files from the media browser, similar to how you can change the color of clips. See attached. It'd be very useful to have the ability to checkmark or highlight files I've already used. That way, I don't have search over exact file names or thumbnails. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I don't see anything as an example in your screenshot. Just a bunch of wav files with no color difference, just displaying the wav icon/thumbnail.

I don't think you can do that in the media browser. Usually, I would import all the material related to the project, and in Premiere's bins there's a bunch of ways to mark/find any clips already used in my edit.

Because I started this project from the ground up, I decided to try doing it this way - using the media browser and its thumbnails, then simply dragging and dropping what I need into the timeline. Eventually, I'll have dragged EVERY piece of footage over to the timeline to edit how I do. That said, do you see any added pros or cons of just importing everything into Premiere's bins? Or pros/cons of how I'm doing it?

Pros (to list a few)
Have everything ready in Premiere, organized, labelled, etc...
Create proxies for all heavy material, to ease the editing process.
Make sure all material is "importable", better than finding out halfway through the project that some footage is giving you errors, better tackle it in the bud.
Cons
The only inconvenience I can think of is that the project might be a little heavier, so it would take a bit longer to load when you open it.

That's what I figured. Okay. I really appreciate you taking the time to help me out.
