Media encoder 2023 cannot find the source file for my export and says it will use the proxy files instead. As a consequence, the exported files are low quality because of the low quality used in the proxy files to speed things up.
This was caused by me being a dumbass and deleting the wrong file. I recreated the file, gave it the exact same name, and reattached it under find media – yet, AME 2023 does not see it properly attached.
The files being exported are 36 individual clips from a 90-minute sequence. All the files get exported correctly from what I can see and AME is happy to encode all of them but just can't find the original file.
I've looked through the metadata, and even after making sure I use Premier Pro to do a straight import on the original file which then gets encoded by AME to create a new, same proxy for that file., the original MP4 file is not showing up in the list of files and sequences in the metadata list.
Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks,
Robert
I must be using the wrong search criteria because Big Brother Google cannot find anything that's a hit for this problem (or, not that many folks are as dumb as I am to do what I did so Google never gets asked!)
Have something to add?
