Hello!

I've had a motion graphic that I've been using for a while now with no issues. Within the last week, something happened and the background within the motion graphic doesn't seem to be working anymore. I've tried reinstalling PP, remaking the graphic in after effects and re-adding, and updating PP. Nothing seems to have worked.

See attached photos for how it looks in PP and how it should look in AE.

TIA

Mod note: The thread was retitled to reflect the issue. Thanks.

Thanks for including this vital info, Philip. Thanks also for trying the troubleshooting steps you mentioned too. This bug sounds frustrating.

In the future, you can use this template to provide us with information for your bug report. I filled it in for you:

  • Issue - The background within a motion graphics template is not working anymore.
  • Adobe Premiere Pro version number:
  • Operating system - Windows 10 22H2
  • System Info: CPU, GPU, RAM, HD:
    • AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 8-Core Processor 3.80 GHz

    • RTX 2070 8GB

    • 32GB DDR4

    • Hard Drive Unknown (and, if external, how the drive is connected: USB 3, Thunderbolt, etc.).

  • Footage: .mogrt, which the editor created.
  • Workflow details: Using a simple motion graphics template created in After Effects.
  • Steps to reproduce
    • Create a motion graphics template with a background in After Effects.
    • Import the .mogrt to Premiere Pro.
    • Drag .mogrt into the Timeline.
  • Expected result - Background appears.
  • Actual result -  Background does not appear.

Can you provide the .mogrt so that engineering can inspect the file? You can upload it to Creative Cloud, Dropbox, or Google Drive.

Thanks,
Kevin

Cool! Thanks for the link, as well. I hope @DaciaSaenz or @jstrawn might have a look.

Cheers,
Kevin

The mogrt is not at the Google drive link shared above. It says:

Make sure that you have the correct URL and the file exists.
