Motion Graphics Templates Misaligned Text

Text is misaligned within motion graphics template - this only appears to happen when I type in very specific text and not other phrases. The attached example shows how 'Evil Wizard Attacks' is suddenly and randomly aligned to below 'How They Met', the text before. However, when adding an additional word 'Dragon Evil Wizard Attacks', the text aligns itself again suddenly which rules out the font or any of the characters contributing to this issue.

Unfortunately, if it's a guessing game as to what you can add to a title within a motion graphics template, it becomes pretty useless pretty quickly. Please fix this bug before it wastes others' time too.

P.S. upon searching for a solution I realised that there is no way to adjust the y positioning of each section of text within the motion graphics template, though I can adjust the X and the global positioning of both X & Y - this feels like an oversight and would definitely benefit the program to include.

At first glance, this looks like the expression doesn't account for descenders on the first line which causes an offset to the alignment of the two lines of text. You can see how in the first example that both lines use descenders, they line up fine. In the second when you don't, the baseline of the second line of text sits at the bottom of the first line of text's descender. If you use all caps for each line of text, you'll never see an issue. (not saying this is the solution)

If you're After Effects expressions inclined, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n9JzmVRqvhk is a great video for understanding sourceRect and compensating for ascenders and descenders.

The quick fix would be to add in a y-position offset control for the second line of text. You're right in thinking that it would be good to have. Each mogrt file is unique in how each mogrt author creates them, so not every control will be available. But here, a y-position would be beneficial.

If you purchased this file, you can try contacting the author for a fix.

Please feel free to DM me the mogrt file to check if there is a bug or an authoring issue.

Thanks!
Theresa
