Moved a video project to external hard drive and now every clip reverted back to its first frame

is there a way to fix this or am I just completely unable to move files once I've created a project? I work from home and frequently need to transfer files to my employers server this bug seems to make premiere pro unusable for me if there isn't a workaround?
