mp4 video does not open in premiere pro for mac.

Can not open a video (downloaded from youtube) on adobe premiere on my macbookpro/HighSierra 10.13.6. Can anyone help?

Sorry about the issue. Which version of Premiere Pro are you currently using? Do you see any error codes or messages while importing the video? Please try transcoding the video using ShutterEncoder or Handbrake and let us know if you're still experiencing the issue.

I finally managed to open it but unsure the path to do so.

Will need to redo and analyse where I was making the error.
