I use the multicam editing feature quite a bit and when I play the video and use the numbers to switch the cameras it doesn't always apply all of the camera changes. Specifically it seems to override the previous edit.
Lets say I start watching a clip with camera one then 20 seconds later switch to camera three there is a chance that it will have both cameras set as three when I would expect it to be camera one until I switched it to camera three. It doesn't do it all the time just randomly or at least I can't figure out the pattern. This is very annoying because I edit this way to speed up my editing but now I have to go back and check to make sure the cameras are switching correctly.
Multicam is enabled and I'm in the multicam view. It also happens on a different computer. And has happened for multiple projects now.
Premiere version: 23.6.0 Build 65
Windows 11 latest and 10 latest

I am unable to reproduce with a few minutes of trying, but the video you posted sure looks like a bug.
If you are looking for a workaround and aren't already aware of it, here is another method of multicam editing (which is a bit less slick)...
Play or scrub to the next edit point and Ctrl-K to cut the multicam clip (be sure your track targeting is set appropriately). If you were playing, pause immediately after. Press the number key to set the current camera on the current clip. Since you explicitly cut the clip, Premiere shouldn't touch the previous one when you hit one of the number keys while paused.
Sadly not much of a workaround as it involves more clicks/keystrokes, but maybe it will avoid the problem. Good luck!

You're video proof is odd, because the new camera shot is not done at the current time indicator. Perhaps there is not enough screen real estate shown in your sample video.

Here is better proof: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GNcr8HzZXUQ it will always keep the first two clips on the same camera without switching. It never did this before. If I continue playing the clip and switch camera it will always make the right cuts but not have the cameras be the exact ones I picked when I made the cuts using the multicam view.

I can't really tell. Perhaps you can contact Adobe, using the chat button on your Creative Cloud page, or call the help line.
