multicam playback will not cut between cameras while playing, and will not stop playing back. ever

Sorry about the long subject line but PP22.1.2 (on Win10 pro, HP z840, 48Gb RAM, dual Xeons, GTX2060S onto 3 screens) is not working.  I'll load a multicam clip, go to the beginning of the clip, hit play and try to switch between the 6 cameras using either mouse and/or keyboard numbers 1-6, and nothing happens... the playhead keeps playing for ever and ever. I have to crash out of PP to stop the playback.  I've researched this bug extensively on this forum (looks like it's been around for 6 years or more) and I've not found any solution.  All source materials were down-converted to 21mMb/s, 1920x1080@23.976 ProRes, 422 proxie .mov by the post house.  I have no control over this nor the version of PP we have to use.  Can someone please tell me there's a solution for this... please fix this multican bug.

Well, you're quite special! Not many users have this, but you rang the bell some how. Sorry, that would be a total bummer.

@Kevin-Monahan  ... you got any ideas? I haven't seen anything on this.

Total bummer.  Looks like quite a few people have complained about this issue over the years, and despite spending quite a bit of time researching a solution here, have not found it ... if a solution exists at all.

It's one of those things that doesn't hit a high percentage of the user base. Most will never see it. But if it hits you and you've got jobs to get out, you will post here & elsewhere about it. It's that serious at that time.
