MultiCam with greenscreen?

Hi - I'm having trouble getting multicam to work with greenscreen. Basically, I have an mp4 from camera 1, another mp4 from camera two, and a wave file. Both cams 1 and 2 were filmed on greenscreen, and I have been using ultrakey to key out the green and replace greenscreen with a background image. However, premier pro seems unhappy with that and seems to want to work only with the raw mp4 files. I also usually create proxies, but unsure if I can still do that and multicamp.

Suggestions appreciated.

you will have to use nesting and create multi-cam from the timeline.

nest each keyed clip with its backdrop.

select all nested clips and nest them in one sequence.

right click on that nested sequence and select multi-cam enable.
