My fragmented mp4 videos take forever to import....

When I try to import fragmented mp4 videos, it take forever to import. If the file is not a fragmented, normal mp4 video, import finishes a lot faster like within a min. Please help me what is going on.

The length of both videoes are nearly the same.

Do you mean "spanned media" ... the clips where the camera breaks long clips into shorter sections? As if so, if you don't copy those from card to computer correctly, the NLE has trouble trying to figure out what to do with them.

As R Neil Haugen said, you would need to copy the entire contents of the media card to your internal drive.
