My latest version of Premier pro is not able to handle my 4K Sony A7S3 footage. I've a powerful workstation in which I've work with 4k clips before. If anyone has a solution, please let me know.
Thanks in advance.
Hi @intuitive_days5F87 ,
Apologies for the inconvenience. Could you please share the Premiere version and device details? Additionally, can you describe the exact issue you're encountering with these files? Please try deleting the media cache to see if it makes a difference.
It would be helpful if you could provide some of the problematic media files for us to test locally. We’ll investigate and get back to you.
Thanks,
Mayjain

Hi @mayjain
I'm using version 25.1.0(Build 73) on a windows 10 professional machine which has Ryzen 9 5950x, 34gb ram and a Nvidea 3090.
I've a mix of Sony A7S3 4k 60fps and FX6 4k 60fps footage in my timeline which I've not been able to preview. It's plays for 2-3 seconds and stops. I've tried deleting the cache and updating the graphic drivers aswell which did not help.

Hi @intuitive_days5F87 ,
Thanks for the details. Could you please try resetting the app preferences by holding the Shift key while launching Premiere to see if it helps.
Please send me the media properties of these files from right click on media in Project Panel --> Media File properties or detailed view(Tree/Text view) from MediaInfo tool https://mediaarea.net/en/MediaInfo?
It would be helpful if you could provide a demo project/media files for us to test locally.
Thanks,
Mayjain

as a workaround, have you tried a proxy workflow? In my experience, Premiere's proxy workflow is very dependable.
