Numeric keypad function changed, how do I change it back?

Hello. I've been using the numeric keypad to move my playhead around. Some how I changed something and now when I try to enter a specific time, the only thing the keypad does is go to the start of the sequence and begins playing.

I haven't fiddled with the shortcuts. I've tried restarting the program. I've tried turning number lock on and off along with various other keys, but nothing seems to revert the keypad back to its usual functions. Does anyone know how to fix this or what I did?

Hi John,

This issue is fixed. You can update Premiere Pro. It's also fixed for those that used the Num Pad for graphics design. Very nice improvement to the design, I think.

Take Care,

Kevin

I'd try re-setting preferences:

  1. Press Alt (Windows) or Option (Mac OS) while launching Premiere Pro. ...
  2. To reset preferences and plug-in cache at the same time, hold down Shift-Alt (Windows) or Shift-Option (Mac OS) while the application is starting.

It apperars the dev's think we would be better served by having the num pad automatically start entering time code in the time code field, while removing the ability to enter numeric text into a text field, via the num pad. So this saves a user, like 1 click, assuming we want to be entering time code for some reason while we are trying to edit an esential graphic? Very confusing. Also innconvinient and rude. Why at least not give us a setting we can change to get back to the work flow that makes sense? In the meantime, I will just have to 'Hunt and Peck' from the number row, like some kind of child who has yet to lean how to type. FEATURE IDEA: Why not remove the ability to type text into the esential graphic text filed too? You kown, for the LOL's. SMH my head.

It's not fixed cause it wasn't broken. User error on my end. Lol.
