The weirdest thing happened all of a sudden.
Audio on 1 track/clip specifically won't play audio. HOWEVER, when I scrub I do hear sound and you can see the difference in the audio mixer.
I tried:
-restarting
-dragging clip onto another track
-deleting cache

Also tried switching audio output.
It even gets weirder. When I move the playhead some seconds earlier in the clip, the audio does play. EVEN beyond the point where it wouldn't. But when I move the playhead back to the position earlier.... nothing. I can't wrap my head around this.

I'm at a loss here. I can't continue with my work now.

I tried opening the project in Premiere Pro Beta and in there the audio works just fine.

Hi,
This is a pretty old thread. Are you now experiencing the issue? If resetting preferences did not work, you can try deleting the media cache. Press Shift at launch. You'll find that option in the Reset Options dialog box. Another step you can try is to create a brand new sequence and copy/paste the contents of the old sequence into the new one. That can work. Please let us know if any of these steps helped. If not, we can file a bug for you. Sorry for the trouble.
Thanks,
Kevin

i found this on reddit maybe it can fix your Problem:
Hi all - I was having a similar problem (no audio playback, bars moving, changing preferences, etc).
In the end I reset preferences and the plug-in cache, and (HURRAH!) got sound back.
These were the Adobe instructions I followed:
'...To reset preferences and plug-in cache at the same time, hold down Shift-Alt (Windows) or Shift-Option (Mac OS) while the application is starting. Release the Shift-Alt keys or Shift-Option key when the splash screen appears.'
You should get a box asking you if you want to reset. Click OK.
Hope it works for you!
