Hi
I have a downloaded project file that I can't seem to get opened. The first message I get when I try to oprn it is that it was created on an older version and would need to be reformated. Select Ok. Then it can't locate the files so I select the folder from my downloads and then it says they are not compbatible. I can usually find a tutorial for issues but nothing for this, anyone?

Sometimes it helps to keep your media offline until the project loads.
When it prompts you to link footage, click Cancel instead.
Then, when the project file loads, select all your media and go to File > Link Media.

Try creating a new project and import the old one into it.

Could you share a screenshot of the error message you’re seeing? This will help us pinpoint the issue and provide more specific guidance

OK. I've clicked on the folder to open it. Premiere opens and it starts loading and this is the first problem I come to
I choose Locate. From the Downloads folder where I currently have it stored, I grab the project file and get this.
If I try opening a new project and importing from File, I get this option, I keep what is selected in the box and hit okay.
And it tries to import, but it never makes progress

Have the shared project files also been updated to the new version of Premiere Pro? They will need to be for compatibility.
