Options > Image Sequence is grayed out and thus not tickable

In older versions, it was easy to upload series of illustrations as a Sequence.
But with the upgrade, I no longer manage to check the option.
All images are neatly numbered and I see under Options > Image Sequence is grayed out and thus not tickable !
How do I solve this?

Did you select the first image?

Some lingo: you import or ingest images into Premiere. Uploading is something quite different.

Make sure they are all sequential. One image missing and it does not work.
