overlapping clips when playing with speed/duration

Hello!

how do I stop clips from overlapping one another?

Im working on a project where I have two different videos and I need them to both end at the same time. To achieve this im speeeding up clips from one of the videos. I kind of over esitmated how much I needed to speed up the video clips and now I dont have enough film. ( and its sadly too late to use command z )

The first soultion that comes to mind is an obvious one, slow the clips down a little. The only issue with this is that the clips are all next to eachother on the timeline so when i go to lower the speed/duration they end up cutting eachother off and the only one that gets extended is the last one in the sequence of clips.

Any solutions for this? Thanks

-Sara

Kind of a solution (if anyone else has this problem) : just nest all of the clips and then change the speed  🙂

Still curious if theres a way to turn on and off clip overlapping
