I'm getting a Media Offline red screen showing for my edited video project. I've watched YouTube videos and every one shows how to relink to your original files. My problem is slightly different. I saved my project and then exported it to a MP4 file except that I chose the same name as the original file I used in creating my video. Fortunately, I have a copy of the original file elsewhere but how can I now make the switch? None of the YouTube videos show how to do this because I’m not missing a link to the original MP4, I overwrote it. Fortunately, its only one video file.

Rename your export file to something unique.

Open project, right click and relink to the copy of the original file.

Thank you Ann, that was an easy fix! Changing the name of the source file prompted Premier to ask for a new link so I could use the proper file.
