I edit a daily discussion/talk show video that are about an hour long with a couple hundred edits. When I render out an approx 1 min video for social, it prepares every audio edit, today's was 277. Is the a way/setting to only prepare the audio for that 1 min clip?

Thanks but that won't work because it's a one hour long audio clip.

It sounds like there might be a mismatch between your sequence and media sample rate. If they were the same, you could skip preparing the audio entirely.

Otherwise, I would suggest creating a subsequence with your in/out points (Shift + U) and exporting that.

Thanks, I'll check the sample rate. I didn't think about creating a subsequence to render it.
