Placing sequence places clips in sequence instead

I am trying to put a sequence in another sequence, which I have done before, but now it just placed all the clips and audio that is in the sequence I want to place instead of just the sequence. I need to cut up the sequence for a trailer so having all the clips and audio makes it difficult, which is why I want to just have one thing on the timeline. Why is it doing this? I have tried it with other sequences and it does the same thing. Is there a setting that has been changed or something?
