Premiere Pro does not work. I press play and it doesn't...I'm too frustrated to be helpful and provide specs and workflow. I simply don't understand why I am paying for a program that doesn't work.

Can you try setting "Preferences>Audio Hardware>Default Input..." setting to "No Input" and see if that helps.
