You mentioned clearing media cache. Have you tried resetting preferences?

Do you have any third party plugins or panels installed?
Can you check your audio hardware settings and make sure Default Input is set to "No Input"
Sorry for the frustration.

Resetting the preference doesn't resolve it.
I saw a tutorial to resolve this, which is by unchecking the GPU-accelerated UI Rendering in preferences> general.

Yes, I have installed plugins. I've been using them for a long time. The audio is in the default No Input.

Did unchecking GPU rendering work for you?

Yes, unchecking it works.
My laptop specs are Acer Nitro 16, Ryzen 7 7840H w/ Radeon 780m graphics. GPU is rtx 4060, ram 32gb. Windows 11 latest update.
I think the bug was a bug before; it just comes back again. The solution I saw was from the same bug, but from year/s ago

Hi @positive_perfection0101 - Can you navigate to device manager > displays and let us know the driver versions you are using for both of your GPUs

amd radeon(tm) 780 - driver version 32.0.21025.10016 (date 8/25/25)
NVIDIA RTX 4060 - driver version 32.0.15.7270 (date 3/3/25)
Note: I'm not updating my NVIDIA 4060 driver because after this version, all NVIDIA driver updates sucks. Full of bugs up to now. I'm a gamer, aside from being a graphic designer/video editor.

Hi @positive_perfection0101 - Thanks for your reply and for sharing the details. I hear you, and I’m glad your issue is resolved for now. My main curiosity is for other customers who might run into a similar situation with a Radeon iGPU and an Nvidia dGPU.
To isolate which GPU is the issue can you navigate to Device Manager > Displays and then disable your integrated (iGPU) or dedicated GPU (dGPU) one at a time with UI rendering enabled.

It may be just one of these bugs that appear and then reappear in another update.
I'm glad it's working for you now.
