At my work, we are planning on creating plugins for Permiere Pro. I had a few questions about the compatibility when updates happen.
1. If a plugin is not compatible with a new update, can you roll back your premiere pro to the previous version?
2. Does Premiere pro notify plugin developers of new updates that will happen in the future? If so, what is the notice period? So that the developers have time to make changes to the plugin to remain compatible with the new update.
3. Does Premiere Pro force updates, or do you have control over whether or not to update to a newer version?
Thank you

For CC Individual subscriptions, Adobe supports "N-1" versions; While PPro 22.x is the current version, PPro 15.x will remain available, until PPro 23.x is available.
> Is an upgrade to a newer version ever forced?

Thank you for your answer. Just a few more questions to make it completely clear.
When an update is available, can we choose not to upgrade? How long can we still stay in the previous version, after a an official release is available ? Is an upgrade to a newer version ever forced?
Once we use the CC Desktop to roll back to a previous version, how long can we stay on that version until we have to update it? Can we roll back to any of the previous versions or just the last version?

You can keep obsolete versions installed, if you like; only N-1 versions are supported.
>Can we roll back to any of the previous versions or just the last version?
Users can roll back to the most current "N-1" version.
