Hello,

I had the blue screen of death while editing a video yesterday in Premier Pro and it was the first time my computer EVER behaved like that.
The program was already lagging from the get go and was taking a while.
So all of a sudden it just crashed. Its very scary for me because I use alot of large programs on my computer

(I have a windows intel core vpro i7 so its a great PC)
One of the most concerning things is I dont know if it was because of this program or if it was because of the PC.
I use Serato live and im hoping that it wont crash during that.
Is this a common issue with this app?
I know its big. I hope it is lol and of course I would love to fix the bug but as long as it doesnt mess with my other programs I use.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

If that doesn't work, try resetting the Workspaces:
Reset a workspace
Reset the current workspace to return to its original, saved layout of panels.
1. Do one of the following:
• Click the Workspace menu icon and select Reset to Saved Layout.
• Choose Window > Workspace > Reset to Saved Layout.
from here:
https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/workspaces.html

If that doesn't work, try Preferences > Audio Hardware and set Input to None.

If that doesn’t work, try updating or rolling back your graphics driver directly from the video card manufacturer’s site. If NVIDIA, do a clean installation of the latest Studio Driver (NOT the Game Driver).

If that doesn't work, try creating a new project and import the old one into it.

Blue screen of death is usually either a hardware or driver issue.

What are the complete computer specs, including hard drives (how many, what kind, what is on each, what capacity, and how full)?

Driver Power State Failure

By @Synthqueen

Thats a driver/computer issue, not a Premiere Pro issue. If you do a Google search you will find more info and how to (hopefully) fix it.

"Driver Power State Failure errors are usually caused by a computer or device driver going into sleep mode while you’re still using the device. Windows would send a wake signal to the device once it is needed and if the device doesn’t respond in time or at all, Windows flags a Driver Power State Failure error. The error can be caused either by the driver itself or power settings."
