PP 2025 How to export CEA-708 as .scc sidecar file?

Hey gang!

I'm doing a sponsored spot for PBS, and they require that subtitles be CEA-708 and delivered in a .scc sidecar. But I can't figure out how to do this. Seems like PP will only export an .mcc.

Can this be right? Seriously? I can't be the only one encountering this issue.

I've also tried converting a .mcc file but nothing has worked so far.

On a Mac running PP 2025 FYI.

The SCC format only supports CEA-608 caption data. To export as SCC, add a new caption track to your sequence, set the Format to CEA-608, and copy your captions to this track.

Then, when you export your captions, the SCC file format should be available.

The options presented during Export (for example, creating a sidecar file) are determined by the format of the Captions track (Austrailian OP-47, CEA-608, CEA-708,  EBU Subtitle, Subtitle, Teletext).
