Since Premiere Pro 23, also on 24, Premiere sometimes won't enter the Trim Edit Window when selecting a cut. Selecting the cut and double-clicking it doesn't change anything. Having a key for "Trim Edit" on your keyboard and pushing it is no help either. On some cuts, there is no problem entering in Trim Edit mode but a lot of them are bugged. I noticed no pattern in the type of cut (subsequence, multicam, etc.) it seems to be bugging or working on every type of cut.
Has someone experienced the same issue/find a solution?
I've had this problem, and I narrowed it down to having an audio clip in the timeline whose duration is being remixed in the Essential Sound panel. If I remove the clip, I'm able to enter trim mode. If I place the original audio clip into the timeline without using remix, it will work, but if I change the duration using the Essential Sound panel, it stops working.

Hey Leo,
I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue. Unfortunately, I couldn't reproduce this issue on my end. A corrupted workspace might cause this problem. Could you launch the project, go to Window > Workspaces, and choose another default workspace (like Color, Effects, Graphics)? Let us know if you still see the problem. I'm moving this thread to the Discussions section to collect more information on this issue.
Thanks,
Ishan

Hi,
Nope it did not solve the problem, no matter the workspace I am in. Even in workspaces that have never been modified.
