I am placing an audio track in premier which sounds fine everywhere else including audition BUT for some reason on playback within Premier there is reverb.... Am i missing something in audio setup?

At the top of my head I can think of 4 reasons why you might hear reverb on this audio file in Premiere:
1. There is an audio effect on the clip (check the effect controls window)
2. There is an audio effect added to the audio track (check the Audio Track Mixer window > "show effects")
3. There is an audio effect added to the master track (check the Audio Track Mixer window > "show effects")
4. The audio file is in the projekt 2 times on 2 different tracks with a very subtle offset on the second track (play the track in "Solo" mode to make sure you are only hearing one audio track)
Here are two other suggestions if you already checked for all the points above:

i'm getting the same thing. completely different projects, same effect. The audio has a small room reverb sound. If I tap the timeline to play a blip of the audio, i can hear the reverb tail when it stops, so the sound is being generated by the interface. No visible effects I can see.

Check the Audio Hardware Preferences. Default Audio Input should be set to No Input.
